This Text book deals with gross structural details of various organ systems of the body of domestic animals and birds as the appear on naked eye after dissection. The text has been presented both in systemic and regional manner to provide a complete knowledge on gross anatomy of most of the organs of the body along with their disposition and relation with surrounding structures. Photographs, illustrations along with charts and diagrams have been provided in support of the texts against individuals components. The whole of the subject has been oriented in a number of chapters which includes a separate chapter for brief anatomical notes on the structural characteristics of important components of some wild animals.

         This publication provides basic ans fundamental information mainly on gross anatomy of cow with comparative notes on other domestic animals and birds like horse, dog, pig and fowl. However anatomy of fowl has been presented in a separate chapter.
